Context
When using Subscription Floating Licenses for Amira-Avizo, each running instance of the software on the same machine requires its own license token. If you open multiple sessions or windows of Amira-Avizo simultaneously on a single computer, each session will consume a separate license.
For example, if three instances of Amira are running concurrently on the same machine, three AvizoSubMains licenses will be consumed.
Note: These instructions apply to versions 2021.1 and later.
Description
Subscription Floating Licenses consist of two license pools:
- AvizoSubMains — unlocks the Amira-Avizo and AmiraAvizo2D Analyzer executables.
- AvizoSubOptions — unlocks product extensions.
For a single Amira session, the following licenses are required:
- 1 AvizoSubMains to run Amira.exe.
- 1 AvizoSubOptions license for each extension used.
Example:
If you run Avizo and build a workflow that uses one module from the 3DPro edition and one module from the XFiber extension, three licenses are required:
- 1 AvizoSubMains license.
- 2 AvizoSubOptions licenses (one for each module).
