Context
If you want to run the lmgrd licensing service without using lmadmin, and you need to support licenses for both asglmd (used by Avizo, Amira, and PerGeos 2020.3 and later) and mcslmd (used by Open Inventor and Avizo, Amira, and PerGeos 2020.2 and earlier), follow the steps below.
Process
1. Install and configure lmgrd version 11.6.6 or higher.
2. Follow the installation instructions provided in the Product License Management Help.
3. Ensure that the asglmd and mcslmd licenses are stored in two separate license files.
4. Load both license daemons, reading the asglmd license first.
