Context
If you want to run the lmgrd licensing service without using lmadmin and you want to be able to support licenses for both asglmd (Avizo, Amira, PerGeos 2020.3+) and mcslmd (any version of Open Inventor; Avizo, Amira, Pergeos 2020.2-), you can follow the instructions below.
Process
1. Install and configure a version 11.6.6 or higher of lmgrd.
2. You can find instructions on how to proceed here: https://www.fei-software-center.com/support/flexnet-server-faq-since-release-2020-3/#A1.
3. Have the asglmd and mcslmd licenses in two separate license files.
4. Read the licenses of both daemons, with asglmd being read first (e.g. ./lmgrd -l lmgrd.log -c license_asglmd.dat:license_mcslmd.dat).
