Installing a virtualized license server is complex and supported only on specific virtualization platforms, including VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer.

Caution: License activation may fail on certain virtual systems — such as VMware ESX — because only a single Unique Machine Number (UMN) can be detected.
This issue typically occurs when the system does not have a Network Interface Controller (NIC). Adding a NIC allows additional UMNs to be detected, enabling successful license activation.
