Issue & Reason

When using license activation codes, it is crucial to transfer them before proceeding with any of the following actions:

  • Uninstalling Thermo Scientific License Manager (LM)
  • Reinstalling or replacing the operating system
  • Replacing the hard drive
  • Disposing of the system

 

If you do not transfer the codes beforehand, they will remain activated on the original system, making it challenging or even impossible to deactivate and reactivate them on a different system.
