[Thermo Scientific License Manager for Server (LMs)]
Context & Prerequisites
After purchasing one or more licenses, you will receive an email from flex1647@flexnetoperations.com containing a set of activation codes for each product or option purchased. These codes are required to activate your license(s). Follow the steps below.
Process
1. Launch Thermo Scientific License Manager for Server (LMs).
2. Access the Activate licenses button from either:
- the Server Configuration tab, or
- the License Administration tab.
3. After clicking Activate licenses, in the Select activation mode display, choose Online activation .
4. In the Enter activation codes display:
- Paste your activation codes into the text field.
- Click Continue. The license server connects to Thermo Fisher’s License Management System to validate the codes and retrieve the entitlements.
5. In the Check license details display:
- Select your server Host ID. Ensure the same valid Host ID is used for all activated licenses.
- Check the box next to each license you want to activate.
- Adjust the number of tokens to activate for each selected license. The number of tokens must be less than or equal to the available tokens.
- Click Activate. A green pop-up will confirm successful activation.
6. To apply the updated license, restart the FlexNet server:
- In the Restart FlexNet lmadmin service display, click Restart.
- A green pop-up will confirm that the server has restarted successfully.
7. The newly activated license appears in the License Administration tab, within the list of all licenses associated with the machine. The product is now ready to use.
