[Thermo Scientific License Manager]
Context
If you no longer require a local license, such as an expired trial license, you can deactivate it using the Deactivate action.
It is important to note that if you intend to reinstall the deactivated license in the future, you should follow the Transfer Local Licenses Offline procedure instead (see article KA-01237 "Offline Local Transfer"). This ensures that you can save the license activation codes for reuse at a later time.
Process
1. Launch Thermo Scientific License Manager:
2. In the Local tab of the Licenses screen:
- Click the Deactivate button to deactivate an entire suite of product licenses.
- Or, click
to deactivate a single license.
3. In the Deactivation mode display, click Offline deactivation.
4. In the Deactivate License(s) display, confirm the deactivation by clicking Continue.
Follow these steps for offline deactivation:
1. In the Offline license Deactivation (1/3) display, click Create request file.
2. Specify where to save the request.tlm file that contains your offline deactivation request, then click Save.
3. Transfer your TLM request file to a computer with an internet connection.

5. Select Upload File.
6. Click Choose File, select your TLM request file, then click Open.
7. Click Submit to initiate the download of the response.tlm file. Specify a location to save it.
