[Thermo Scientific License Manager]
Context
If you no longer require a local license, such as an expired trial license, you can deactivate it using the Deactivate action.
It is important to note that if you intend to reinstall the deactivated license in the future, you should use the Transfer Local Licenses Offline procedure instead (see article KA-01237 "Offline Local Transfer"). This ensures that you can save the license activation codes for reuse later.
Process
1. Launch Thermo Scientific License Manager:
2. On the Local Licenses screen:
- Select Deactivate to deactivate an entire suite of product licenses.
- Click
to deactivate a single license.
3. In the Deactivation mode display, click Offline Deactivation.
4. In the Deactivate License(s) display, confirm the deactivation by clicking Continue.
Follow these steps for offline deactivation:
1. Click Create request file on the Offline license Deactivation (1/3) screen.
2. Specify where to save the request.tlm file that contains your offline activation request, then click Save.
3. Transfer your TLM request file to a computer with an internet connection.
4. On a computer with an Internet connection, open https://tlm-portal.com/operation in a web browser.
5. Select Upload File.
6. Click Choose file, select your TLM request file then click Open.
7. Click Submit. This initiates the download of the response.tlm file. Specify a location to save it.
8. Transfer the response.tlm file to the computer where you want to deactivate the local license.
9. In the Offline license deactivation (2/3) display, click Finish now.
10. In the Offline license deactivation (3/3) display, click Load response file.
11. Navigate to select the response.tlm file, then click Open.
