[Thermo Scientific License Manager (LM)]

Context & Prerequisites

  • In offline activation mode, you can perform the same actions described in the "Manage Local Licenses: Online Deactivation" (KA-01229) article, but without requiring an Internet connection on the machine where the license is installed.

Note that access to another computer with an internet connection is required to complete certain steps of the actions.

  • If you no longer require a local license, such as an expired trial license, you can deactivate it using the Deactivate action.

It is important to note that if you intend to reinstall the deactivated license in the future, you should follow the Offline Transfer procedure instead (see article KA-01237 "Manage Local Licenses: Offline Transfer"). This ensures that you can save the license activation codes for reuse at a later time.

Process

1. Launch Thermo Scientific License Manager (LM).

2. In the Local tab:

  • Click Deactivate to deactivate an entire suite of product licenses.
  • Or, click  Content/Resources/Images/tlm/buttons/deactivation-button.jpg to deactivate a single license.

3. In the Deactivation mode display, click Offline deactivation.
