Process
In order to update your license certificate, you will need the following:
- Your FlexNet license server Host ID and one of your licenses Order Line number.
This information can be found in Thermo Scientific License Manager: on the Local Licenses screen, click the product name of any certificate license. This opens the License information display where the Feature Line(s) information contains your license key.
Your Host ID is the string following the “HOSTID=” keywords, and your Order Line number is the string following the “SN=” keywords.
- A machine connected to the Internet to access the TLM portal:
1. Open the TLM portal Reactivate menu: https://tlm-portal.com/operations/reactivate.
2. Select your machine Host ID type:
- Ethernet address: unique identifier derived from your network adapter's MAC address. It is used to tie licenses to a specific machine for products like Amira-Avizo, OpenInventor, and ImageDev.
- Athena platform ID: specific platform identifier for Athena platform-hosted products.
3. Enter your license server Host ID and one of your licenses Order Line Number. Click Continue.
4. Select the licenses you want to reactivate and enter the number of tokens you want to reactivate for each license. The number of tokens to reactivate must be less than or equal to the number of activated tokens. Click Reactivate.
5. The result of the reactivation is displayed. Click Download License File to download your updated license file.
6. Install the updated license.dat certificate license on the machine where your product is installed following the article KA-01242 "Local License Certificate: Installation" instructions.
