Context
In this article, we will describe the administration of certificate-based licenses for Thermo Scientific™ software products.
Amira, Avizo, and PerGeos licenses issued before version 2020.3 used a different technology for activation. To manage those versions, refer to article KA-01271 "Manage Floating Licenses: Versions Prior to 2020.3 for Amira, Avizo, and Pergeos Software."
Process
You can manage the installed Vendor Daemons using FlexNet Publisher, the web application located at http://localhost:8090/vendor.
In the Administration and Vendor Daemon Configuration tabs, you can check the status of each Vendor Daemon to determine whether it is running or stopped.
- On the desired Vendor Daemon line, click Administer.
- In the Vendor Daemon Actions section, click Start if it is not running.
- If it is already running, you can Stop or Reread License Files.
- To restart a Vendor Daemon, click Stop first, and then click Start again.
