[FlexNet License Server - Lmadmin]
Context
In the following article, we will describe the administration of certificate-based licenses for Thermo Scientific software products if you do not use the Thermo Scientific License Manager for Server (LMs) application.
Amira, Avizo, and PerGeos licenses issued before version 2020.3 used a different technology for activation. To manage those versions, refer to article KA-01271 "Manage Floating Licenses: Versions Prior to 2020.3 for Amira, Avizo, and Pergeos Software".
Process
To transfer some or all of your Thermo Scientific Software licenses to a different license server, follow these steps:
1. Request assistance from Customer Support.
- Sign in to the Customer Support Center.
- Navigate to the My Support tab and open a License Transfer case.
- For detailed guidance, refer to article KA-01188 "How to Send Technical or Licensing Questions to VDS Customer Support team".
2. Customer Support will provide you with an updated license file for your new server.
3. Install the updated license file on your server.
- Follow the instructions in article KA-01265 " Manage Floating Licenses: Upgrade on Server - Import an Updated License File with Lmadmin".
