Context & Description
To use ImageDev, you must install the new Vendor Daemon asglmd.
If you want to manage a single FlexNet server that hosts licenses for both ImageDev and Open Inventor, install both the old Vendor Daemon mcslmd and the new Vendor Daemon asglmd on the same server. Stop the lmgrd license server manager before installation.
Install FlexNet tools version 11.19 or higher on your system to host both Vendor Daemons.
You can update your license server to version 11.19.8 by following the instructions in article KA-01254 "Manage Floating License: Install a FlexNet License Server".
For Open Inventor: import the license file from the previous installation (usually stored in <server_install_dir>/passwordServer.dat).
For ImageDev: import the license file generated on the Thermo Scientific License Manager (LM) portal to the updated server. Refer to article KA-01259 "Manage Floating Licenses: Activation on Server - Import a License File to Server".
You can keep the old FlexNet server along with a newly installed one. In this case, the two servers must be hosted on different physical machines.
