[Thermo Scientific License Manager]
Prerequisites
To obtain your license file, you need:
- Your activation codes: Find them in your delivery email. An activation code is a long string delimited the tags – BEGIN TLM CODE – and – END TLM CODE –.
- Your machine Host ID: In Thermo Scientific License Manager, click
to display the Flexnet Host ID. If multiple host IDs are displayed, just select the one that corresponds to your permanent LAN card.
- A machine connected to the internet to access the Thermo Scientific License Manager portal.
Process
1. Open the TLM portal Activate menu: https://tlm-portal.com/operations/activate
2. Paste all the activation code(s) you received, including the - BEGIN TLM CODE - and - END TLM CODE - tags. Click Continue.
3. Select your machine/server Host ID type:
- Ethernet address: The unique identifier derived from your network adapter's MAC address. This ties licenses to a specific machine for products like Amira-Avizo, OpenInventor, and ImageDev.
- Athena platform ID: The specific platform identifier for Athena platform-hosted products.
4. Enter your machine/server Host ID.
5. Select the licenses you want to activate and enter the number of tokens to activate for each license. The number of tokens must be less than or equal to the number of tokens purchased.
6. Click Activate.
7. The activation result is displayed. Click Download License File to get the license.dat file. Save it to any location on the server machine's file system.
8. Install the license.dat file on the machine where your product is installed by following the article KA-01242 "Local License File: Installation" instructions.
