Thermo Scientific™ software products use the FlexNet licensing tool to support floating licenses (also known as network distributed licenses). This method allows the software to run on any computer that can communicate with the license server, offering greater flexibility than node-locked licensing, which ties the product to a specific computer.
The FlexNet license server tracks license usage for each software product and allows multiple users to run the software simultaneously, up to the total number of available licenses.
