Context & Description
Thermo Scientific License Manager for Server (LMs) is an application designed to efficiently manage floating licenses, both online and offline.
LMs provide essential information at a glance, such as your server Host ID and Order Line Number, enabling you to perform various operations, including activation, transfer, upgrade, and reactivation of licenses. Additionally, convenient tools are available to import license files, check the status of licenses, and upgrade the FlexNet lmadmin server.
If the machine where the floating licenses are installed is not connected to the internet, you can still perform the same actions as online, with some adjustments. Thermo Scientific License Manager for Server (LMs) automatically detects offline status and adjusts features accordingly. Part of the actions are done offline by the application, but some steps will need to be completed using the Thermo Scientific License Manager (LM) Portal, requiring access to another computer with an internet connection.
