Context & Description
Thermo Scientific License Manager for Server (LMs) is an application designed to manage floating licenses efficiently, both online and offline.
LMs displays key information at a glance, including the server Host ID and Order Line Number. It enables you to perform various essential operations such as license activation, transfer, upgrade, and reactivation. Additionally, LMs provides tools to import license files, check the license status, and upgrade the FlexNet lmadmin server.
If the machine where the floating licenses are installed is not connected to the internet, you can still perform the same actions as online, with some adjustments. Thermo Scientific License Manager for Server (LMs) automatically detects offline status and adjusts its features accordingly. Most actions are performed offline by the application, but some steps must be completed using the Thermo Scientific License Manager (LM) portal, which requires access to a computer with an internet connection.
